Should You Be Angry With Jesus Christ?
When I think about this question, I realize that our spiritual walk could possibly be affected, if we are not trusting, obeying, and walking right. We have to be Honest with Christ, as well as ourselves. To become angry with Christ is a lack of trust, faith and grace.
Trust - firm reliance in the integrity, ability, or character of a person or thing; confident belief. "Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in the Lord" (Psalms 4:5). Other trust scriptures: 1 Timothy 4:10 and Hebrews 2:13.
Faith - belief and trust in God and in the doctrines expressed in the scriptures. " And Jesus said unto them, because of your unbelief for verily I say unto you, if ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, remove hence to yonder place, and it shall remove and nothing shall be impossible unto you" (Matthew 17:20). Other faith scriptures: Luke 8:25, Luke 17:5, Romans 10:17, and Hebrews 12:2.
Grace, Kindness, Favor, Divine Mercy- And He said unto me, my grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me" (2 Corinthians 12:9)". These scriptures confirm that Christ is our strength when we are weak, and that he is always us. Situations may arise in our lives that may cause us to become angry, but that anger should not be toward God. As saints of God, if we are obedient, praying, fasting, studying the word, and fellowshipping, the power of God will rest upon us. We must deal with our anger. A child of God shouldn't be violent, raged, or provoked.
Turn your angers over to God, and rest upon him.
Thou hast invited me to "to ask, to seek, to knock" Assuring me that if I ask, it shall be given unto me; If I seek, I shall find; and if I knock; it shall be opened unto me. Help me believe that, O God. Give me the faith to ask knowing that I shall receive. Give me the faith to seek, believing that I surely find. Give me the Faith it shall indeed be opened unto me. Help me live the Christian life in daring Faith and humble Trust that there may be worked out in me, even in me, thy righteousness and goodness. Forgive me Lord, as I make this prayer. Amen
