A Special Place For God's Special People
‘For thou art an holy people unto the Lord thy God: the Lord thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth". Deut. 7:6
The Baltimore Brown Faith is a special place for God's special people. We believe Deuteronomy 7:6, we believe God. We believe that all who come to The Baltimore Brown Faith are sent there by God for a special purpose. Acts 2:47 says " And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved".
Because God chooses special people unto himself, and because he adds to the church daily such as should be saved; we of The Baltimore Brown Faith count our place as being special. God calls people to be special unto himself. The Baltimore Brown Faith is very interested in your relationship with God. All we give you is the Word of God- the opinion of man is always secondary. It is our goal to keep the Lord in everything.
If we are to remain a special people unto God, we must constantly be about the business of faith. Hebrews 11:6 says "But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he a rewarder of them that diligently seek him".
Read your bible, because it contains the mind of God, the state of man, the way of salvation and the destiny of the righteous and the wicked. Its doctrines are Holy, its precepts are binding, its histories are true, and its decisions are immutable. Read it to be wise, believe it to be right, and practice it to be Holy. It contains light to direct you, food to support you and comfort to cheer you.
Here Paradise is restored, heaven opened and the gates of hell are disclosed, Christ is its grand subject, our good its design, and the glory of God its end. It should fill the memory, rule the heart and guide the feet. Read it slowly, frequently, prayerfully. It is a mine of wealth, a paradise of glory and a river of pleasure. It invokes the highest responsibility, rewards the greatest labor and condemns all who trifle with its holy contents.
Let's pray, Heavenly father in the mighty name of Jesus. I humble myself in all forgiveness and ask that you take away everything in me that is not of you. I bind every force of evil that hinders and comes up against me. Lord, teach me to read and understand your word and teach me to pray. By faith in the mighty name of Jesus I know it's done. Amen
*But thanks be to God which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ (I Cor. 15:57)
