ministers & deacons wives

How do you communicate what the Bible says? What do you do? How do you act? What do you say? The best form of communication sometimes is your actions. Actions at times speak a lot louder than words.

One of the most important elements of marriage is communication. This element becomes more important when you are the wife of a Minister or Deacon. You have an important role within the home as well as in the church. Not only is communication important to and with your spouse, but it is also important to the other church members in the congregation, to your co-workers and to the other members of your family.

How do you communicate what the Bible says to your spouse as well as others? By actions, your words and deeds.

Scripture tells us that woman was created to be a helpmeet to man.

GENESIS 1:8 - And the Lord God said; It is not good that man should be alone; I will make an helpmeet for him.

You should stand beside your spouse. Be with him when he is misunderstood, be able to tell him what the scripture says regarding different situations in a kind and loving way. You should be able to stand up for him when others may put him down. Have a sweet spirit about you.

PROVERBS 21:19 - It is better to dwell in the wilderness, than with a contentious and an angry woman.

Possess the characteristics of the virtuous woman in Proverbs 31: 10-31.

1. She is a commendable wife and mother.

2. She lives for her home and family.

3.  She is industrious.

4. She is self-disciplined and orderly.

5. She is a sharp business woman.

6. She has good, refined tastes.

7. She manifests the grace of hospitality.

8. She is charitable in the time of need.

9. She is spiritually minded.

A Ministers or Deacons wife should take a supportive role in the church. Woman and Women of God need the help of other women of God to think as they should about themselves, about God, about their homes and their families, and about their other relationships. Single women need encouragement. Married women who are not in your position need your encouragement too!!! Older widows need strengthening, teenage girls need companionship, phone calls, letters and other creative expressions of kindness. You can communicate what the Bible says concerning the marital relationship, how we are to act, dress and carry ourselves, by the way that you act as a Ministers or Deacons wife. You can be a living example of what is recorded in the word of God.

The scripture says in Titus 2:3-5 - The aged women likewise, that they be in behavior as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things. That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children. To be discreet, chaste keepers at home, good obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.

The older Ministers and Deacons wives have the responsibility in the scripture above. You should be able to go to the younger wives and tell them in a sweet way what they are supposed to do. You can tell them and let them see your example.

In closing the role of a Ministers or Deacons wife is very important. A lot is required of you. You should try your best to live up to the Godly standard of a wife not just for your sake but for the sake of others as well. Communication is necessary in church as well as within the home. There is a right way to communicate all things. You as a Ministers or Deacons wife must use that way. The young women who look up to you will know what to do when they are married, even if they do not marry a Minister, Elder, Deacon or Pastor. What you do, how you act, how you dress, how you speak to others regarding different spiritual issues, how you treat your husband in the public or behind close doors can be either a good or bad influence to them. STAY PRAYERFUL AND BE THANKFUL THAT GOD CHOSE YOU TO BE THE WIFE OF A MINISTER OR DEACON, IT IS A BLESSING !!!!!
